  • Understanding significance and impact on heritage assets

Training normally combines academic learning with practical skills and experience to develop and refine the student’s knowledge, skill and understanding. Condition survey training will, for example include aims and objectives of a condition survey, condition survey types and methodology, identifying and understanding defects. This is then followed by site based demonstration and practice in survey techniques, defect investigation, recording and quantifying defects, etc.

Practical application of knowledge develops and refines skills and allows the student to experiment with techniques with the assistance, guidance and experience of the tutor.
